Q1. What equipment did you use?
I did the shot with a Nikon d70s and two external flashes.

ISO 400, f/5, 1/1250 sec - for the main picture.

Q3. What software did you use during the post-production?
I used Aperture 3.0 and Photoshop Elements 6 to edit my material.

Q4. Who is the model?
The model is me! All of the extra footage is from my archive, both the smoke and the skull.

Q5. How did you come up with the idea of this shot?
The idea just popped up in my head when I was thinking of Smoke - Smoke was the theme at one of the Flickr groups.

Extra Q: Please share an interesting or funny fact that happened while working on this photograph.
When doing the shot I remembered why I stopped smoking. :)

This is a improvement of the picture called Les Alpinistes. The idea? Like with all other pictures - it just came into my head and didn't want to go until I took the shot!

The funniest thing was the expression on my girlfriend's face when she opened the door and saw me imitating the second climber. :-)

Well, I was looking around and found in the grass one "perfect" Dandelion, but I didn't have my Nikon D500 with me, so I took my cellphone and shot it. :)

Q5. How did you come up with the idea of this shot?
I watched the 1960's movie "The Raven" and now the second version of 2010. From there came an inspiration to create a cover for the story. The proper location was found by old fazenda and the creepy atmosphere was adjusted by HDR system in Photoshop.

Q1. What equipment did you use?
I used Nikon D700 with Samyang 14 mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC (cheap but good Korean manual lens) and Benro tripod.

Q2. What settings did you have on your camera?
I took 9 exposures for HDR photo at ISO 200 and aperture f/11.

Q3. What software did you use during the post-production?
To create HDR photo I used Photomatix for tone mapping and Photoshop for post processing.

Q4. What is the location and who is the model?
Location is abandoned "haunted" villa in Gdańsk, Poland. Model is my friend Andre Govia who was cut from his self-portrait (www.flickr.com/photos/andregovia/4796696675/) and pasted into my final HDR image during post production.

Q5. How did you come up with the idea of this shot?
Nothing special, I like pictures of abandoned and forgotten places. An HDR technique shows more details than a human eye normally sees, so that's the main reason it is often used in such kind of photos. At first I had a feeling that there is something missing in the picture and I thought it was nice to put any person there. So I asked for permission to use the picture of Andre. The title came to my mind during the processing of the image.

I used Nikon D90 camera with 18-200mm Nikon VR DX lens.

I had to click about 3 separate photographs for this image. I clicked all of them on Manual mode and manual focus. But the shutter speed and aperture setting were different for each one of them.

Q3. What software did you use during the post-production?
I used Adobe Photoshop CS3.

It's a self portrait... So it's my own photograph clicked with help of a tripod and the camera timer.

Q5. How did you come up with the idea of this shot?
This shot is inspired by one of my favourite song's video - "If a song could get me you" by Marit Larsen.

Extra Q: Please share an interesting or funny fact that happened while working on this photograph.
The interesting fact would be that I myself wasn't so happy with the final result but it turned out to be my one of the most favourited images on Flickr.

The model is me. Ha-ha... It´s something like a self portrait

Well, this idea came up many months ago I think, while I was listening to Puccini´s "Madame Butterfly". But I didn´t know how to use CS5 properly in order to create that effect. And the make up is some kind of imitation of the Dior models I saw once in Vogue magazine.
